Surrendering Your Pet to Will County Humane Society
Founded with the No Kill mission at heart, we are committed to each and every pet in our care. And we are committed to our pets for their entire lives. If anything should happen where their adopters can no longer care for them, we ask that they are returned to us.
PLEASE NOTE: Owner surrenders are considered on a case-by-case basis.
DROP OFF’S ARE NOT ACCEPTED!
Surrender Fee
We ask that families giving up their pets provide a Surrender Fee to help cover the cost of caring for, treating and finding a quality home for your pet. Surrender Fees are:
– $100 per dog
-$50 per cat
Each pet we save costs an average of $500 over our adoption fee per year in vet costs, food, and shelter. Surrender Fees only cover a small part of the cost of taking in your pet.
Please understand that completing this form does not guarantee we are able to accept any pet. We are also unable to keep a waiting list, as the demand for owner surrender is at an all-time high.
